"Next blog".

There was one fine day, I was rather bored and refuse to move my butt away from the computer. So, I decided to check my friends' blogs for the umpteenth time for the day, again. And as expected, no one updated their blogs.

Yet again, who the hell updates their blog every hour in a day?
Unless that person is either:
a. work as a full time, 24/7 blogger.
b. simply has no life.

Then, I was bored again.
Because I have nothing to look at.
Most importantly, I have nothing interesting to look at.

So, I decided to stalk around blogger and keep clicking the "next blog" button starting from one of my friend's blog.

I have one discovery.

Out of the 10 blogs I came across with by keep clicking the "next blog" button, 9 to 10 of the blogs out of 10 that I saw have photos / pictures in it. Not to mention, I actually manage to stumble across quite a few very interesting, cute and/or meaningful blogs. Personally, I'm thankful for that as it sparked a little something within me.

Then, little thoughts struck me.

What's with all the photos / pictures in the blogs?
Whoa, so many personal pictures about their personal lives!
How come they ain't worried about being so exposed?
Oh wow, lovely photography skills / ideas.
OMG, another blog with pictures.

With all those in mind, another light went flashing in my mind.

What happened to the old ways of blogging, as in writing and projecting everything in words rather than using pictures all over the place?

Of course, I fully understand and realize the quote saying:
"a picture is worth a thousand words."

In fact, a picture is worth way more than a thousand words.
It brings out different kinds of emotions and feelings that may not be projected through words.

However, the question in my mind still remains.

What happens to the traditional ways of showing your thoughts?
Where is the writing?
Where is the good writing?

A picture is worth a thousand words.
Yes, I have no doubts about it.

Yet, language is capable to bring out wonders and beauties.
It helps you to paint a picture from a white canvas to whatever it may lead to with the words you read, that will be created into the kind of picture in your mind plus your very own imagination.

The picture created through words may be vague and imperfect;
yet, it's undeniably breath taking.
